Mornington Wilderness Camp provides a comfortable base from which to explore this remarkable sanctuary.
A tented camp within a sanctuary which covers more than 3,000 sq kms of spectacular gorges and tropical savannnah, dominated by the Fitzroy River and King Leopold Ranges. A mecca for the adventurous traveller and nature lovers.
Relax and soak up the atmosphere with a few nights in the tents, which overlook Annie Creek. In the evenings dine under the stars at the bush bar and licensed retaurant.
The area provides refuge for over 170 species of birds and a diverse range of other wildlife. All proceeds from the wilderness camp are dedicated to the conservation of Mornington's wildlife, helping to save endanged species such as the Gouldian Finch.
Various guided and self guided tours are available from the camp, from birdwatching to exploring habitats unique to the Kimberley. Private tours and scenic flights are also available.
